Conservatory furniture - Cushions on the furnitureThe conservatory is a place where you expect the atmosphere to be sunny and light, coupled with humidity and a slight trace of mud. When choosing the cushions for your conservatory furniture, and the fabric on those cushions, these things have to be borne in mind. They must be not only of the removable types; the surface of them should not be of the easily fading type either. Needless to say that the cushions have to be comfortable but one should always never forget that the cushions thus selected should in no way interfere with the contours of the conservatory furniture. If they do so, the entire idea behind painstakingly choosing the furniture and the cushions is lost, so this should not happen. Selection of colors Bold whites, as far as possible, are avoided. This is not only because of the risk involved in getting dirty quickly, it seldom goes very well with the natural texture of the conservatory furniture, unless the surface of the cushion has a hint of texture, or better still a very mild floral print of delicately soft colors. Conservatory furniture is normally made of cane and other natural materials and they already have a pattern and color of their own. Homely look A cream or beige shade with light floral works would provide a homely look, if you feel like having it. On the other hand, simple earthy colors of organic shades like olive greens, warm grays, burnt oranges and browns would deliver an accolade of innate allure. Maintenance The cushions are to be periodically cleaned and for this reason, one has to make sure if they are of the easily removable types. The fabric that covers the cushions should be machine washable, for you need to do that kind of cleaning often. The shades and patterns should not fade off with repeated cleansing. If you happened to have conservatory furniture with non-removable cushions, at least make sure that they can be wiped clean with suitable cleaning solutions.
